​Omicron Sigma Omega Chapter eagerly joins all other AKA chapters in implementing community-based activities, as part of "Launching New Dimensions of Service" under the leadership of our International President, Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson.

These program initiatives include:
 

I. Educational Enrichment
This program assists high school students to focus on achievement, self-awareness, communication, engagement, networking, and developmental skills. 
 

II. Health Promotion
It is important that everyone takes responsibility for their health and Alpha Kappa Alpha is committed to helping people in that aspect of their life. This initiative encourages awareness in Alzheimer's Disease, Stroke, and Mental Illness.
 

III. Family Strengthening

This program will target critical issues facing many families, including lack of food, shelter, and financial means.
 

IV. Environmental Ownership

Implementing high impact programs to provide healthy environments and improve the quality of life in the underserved communities are the focus of this program.
 

V. Global Impact

Alpha Kappa Alpha members will work to prepare today's youth for an increasingly global and complex society under this initiative.
